In September 1997 a civil company CenterMed came into being. The main aim of the company was to arrange the new center of medical diagnosis and treatment at the highest possible level in Tarnow environment. In December 1997 we launched the enterprise in two modernized surgeries in the center of Tarnow, Sobieskiego Sq 2 where highly qualified specialists began to run private practice (eg.: an oculist, throat specialist and cardiologist). In the meantime, X-ray office was launched. Initially run by co Diagno-X and afterwards taken over by our company. Simultaneously, we also started to render service in occupational medicine where nearly 150 companies are involved.

In 1998 a civil company was converted to a limited liability company (Ltd) and acquired the status of Non-Public Health Institution. Not only we modernized but also expanded our office to improve medical service significantly. When The Act of Social Common Insurance came into force we drew up a contract to provide service in Primary Health Care. In January 2000 the contract was signed successfully with Malopolska Regional Health Paymaster in Cracov and we became the first Health Institution in Tarnow surroundings with such a contract (approx. 5000 patients at the beginning and nearly 37000 in March 2004).

To make our medical service much more available a couple of branches were open in Koszyce Male and Tarnow, Pułaskiego St 92. In January 2001, branch no. 3 in Zglobice was open and in September another branches were open in Wojnicz & Biadoliny Radlowskie. In 2002 branch no. 6 was open in Tarnow, Elektryczna St.

Recently, the new medical center in Biegonice was open, a far-away district of Nowy Sacz. It is not only well located and easy to reach but also beautiful surroundings and spacious car park is offered. What's more, it is pretty easy to get to from either Nowy Targ or Stary Sacz but also from Krynica Spa. CenterMed Ltd is the owner the estate. We do employ highly qualified doctors who offer service in many fields: eg.: gynaecology, surgery, ophthalmology, laryngology, orthopaedic, ultrasonography, radiology, occupational medicine and computer tomography, to name a few.

Our medical enterprise was assessed satisfactory by Malopolska Regional Health Paymaster. In January 2001 we signed the contract to run specialist outpatient clinic in Ob&Gynae, Pulmonology and Allergology.

To provide our patients with easy access to diagnostic appliances CenterMed Ltd bought highly classified digital ultrasound equipment (General Electric Logiq 400), densimeter, radiological equipment, spirometry and audiometry devices. They are operated by well experienced and qualified medical staff what makes our service both competitive and highly standardized. We also cooperate with certified and well equipped analytic laboratories in Specialistic Hospital named by E. Szczeklik in Tarnow and Provincial Hospital named by Saint Lukasz in Tarnow.

We also render service in nursing care and school medicine either.

CenterMed Ltd is arranging on regular basis prophylactic events in the field of early detection the illness risk factors (eg.: blood sugar level, cholesterol, blood pressure, spirometry, screening of prostate cancer). We are taking part in a numerous charitable events as well as health care prevention events eg.: Forum of Disable Movement People, Fair of Healthy Food, Forum of Disable People. Doctors and nurses employed in our Clinic are deeply involved in creating domestic hospice for Tarnow's population.

And the last thing but not the least we do believe we are the leaders of the new health system, taking care of patients based on rational prophylactic health rules.
